Ok - So, my insurance carrier, Empire Blue Cross, Blue Shield (the govt. plan) has GREAT IVF coverage. They cover $50,000 over my lifetime for IVF alone! However, the one hurdle is that you have to be diagnosed with a fertility problem before they cover anything!! Unfortunately, they do not cover PGD at all so all the PGD testing we have done will be out of pocket - approximately $7,750!!!!
That puts me in a difficult situation. No one at the insurance company will listen to me. They really are the absolute worst. I have made thousands of phone calls trying to get someone who knows what's going on and it is getting really frustrating!!
