I called the IVF nurse Cathy at Dr. Hershlag's office today and she was a HUGE help. I was actually surprised at how helpful she was. She definitely is different than the other people who work there!
She said that nothing regarding my IVF cycle can be definite now since my probe isn't completed yet and we won't know anything for sure until it is completed, but she did talk to me hypothetically.
She said that if i get my "December period" on time, approx. Dec. 25 (Merry Christmas to me!), then i would start Lupron injections 21 days after that date, which would be January 14, 2010. After two weeks of Lupron, i start the "stimming" medications which makes my ovaries produce lots of eggs (hopefully) and i would be on those meds for 10 days to 2 weeks. Then, after that is done, i would have my egg retrieval and then embryo transfer five days later! That puts me at around February 16, 2010 for transfer!!
That seems so close! i cannot believe it - i am so excited! Also, the nurse said (after she heard when my birthday was), "Oh wow, you're REALLY young" and that made me feel good!!!! Dr. Hershlag said the best thing i have going for me is my age so hopefully that means i will produce lots and lots of eggs!! I feel like a chicken :)
